Finished Work! (finally)

Trying to get as many done before the little one comes!

Here are some work on progress, I have 5 weeks before the baby so I'm trying to get all of them done before he arrives. I have 12 images total, 11 are painted, 5 are done and there are 4 of them that are almost done. I also have started my invitation to the show which will be December 2nd so I almost can see the end of the tunnel!

I'm trying to get all my drawings painted and almost done if not done before I started BFA again this semester [this monday] so that this semester I can start a few more drawings and get them painted and than I will be done!

Row your boat painting (50% done)

This painting I was really frustrating at first but I'm starting to like what's going on.

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater (really rough)

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had a wife and couldn't keep her.
He put her in a pumpkin shell
And there he kept her, very well.

This is more an idea I have, we will see if my teacher and my class will go with it.

There was a maid (rough sketch)

There was a maid on Scrabble Hill,
And, if not dead, she lives there still.
She grew so tall, she reached the sky,
And on the moon hung clothes to dry.

I am a Pretty Dutch Girl (sketch-unfinished)

I am a pretty little Dutch girl,
As pretty as I can be.
And all the boys in the neighborhood
Are crazy over me!

Row, row, row your boat (very very rough)

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

I've sorta skipped my other bfa images and started working on this one. I just had an idea in my mind for this rhyme and I had to get it down. This one I'm very excited about! But it is very rough, so I will be surprise if you can tell what's going on. Also I'm not quite sure about the middle character he might need to be revised.

Three men in a tub,
And how do you think they got there?
The butcher, the baker, the candlestick-maker --
They all jumped out of a rotten potato!
'Twas enough to make a fish stare.

Again this sketch is still rough.

Miss Muffet Rough Sketch

Little Miss Muffet, sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.

This sketch is not done, but this can give you an idea.

This is a really rough sketch for one of my pieces, I'm sure that it will look a lot different before I'm done. But please leave comments, let me know what's working and what's not working.

BFA- introdution

This blog is the working progress of my BFA project so friends and family can watch the progress. Please fill free to comment and help me make my pieces better.

For my project I'm doing Nursery Rhymes with my own twist to it. I'm hoping to do 15-16 pieces. Right now I'm just working out my sketches and color comps, than once I have all those figured out I will start painting!
